Learn to identify animal tracks in the snow and prepare for your own winter tracking adventures! This two-day course will cover the basics of track identification, using field guides, and preparing yourself and your tracking tools for the outdoors. We will then take to the woods for a mini trailing expedition on the school's 50 acres and the adjacent wildlife management area. You will be introduced to the Eight Disciplines of Tracking and the skills needed to master each one.

To ensure a comfortable and safe outdoor winter tracking experience, it's recommended to bring the following items: warm, layered clothing including insulated jackets, pants, hats, gloves, and waterproof boots; any tracking equipment like field guides, compasses, magnifying glasses, or tracking sticks. (all non essential); personal items such as water bottles, snacks, headlamps, notebooks, and pens. You might also want to bring extra layers of clothing.
