
Statistically speaking, a person is likely to be injured driving to a rock climbing event that in the act of climbing itself. Assessing risk is part of daily life but in an outdoor setting, becoming acustomized to specific risks is a high priority.
Learn to:
- Define real and perceived risk in outdoor pursuits
- Use indicators and strategies for Risk Management on many levels
- Defining the “Edge” of comfort to prevent harm and increase learning
- Develop responsible approaches as an method for Learning
- Read experiences to assess student engagement and learning
- Maintain balance and flow between creative process and lesson plans
