Statistically speaking, a person is likely to be injured driving to a rock climbing event that in the act of climbing itself. Assessing risk is part of daily life but in an outdoor setting, becoming acustomized to specific risks is a high priority.

Learn to:

  • Define real and perceived risk in outdoor pursuits
  • Use indicators and strategies for Risk Management on many levels
  • Defining the “Edge” of comfort to prevent harm and increase learning
  • Develop responsible approaches as an method for Learning
  • Read experiences to assess student engagement and learning
  • Maintain balance and flow between creative process and lesson plans

Time: Tuesday evening 6.00 - 8:30pm
