This level takes a step beyond survival skills. A five day course designed for those who have completed Wilderness skills level 2 or have relevent experience. Focusing on long term wilderness living conditions and how to flourish under hardship and sustained living in the wild.
Topics covered include:
- Camp Hygiene and Logistics
- Foraging for food and water
- Camp Cooking
- Canoe, Pole and Paddle
- Field First Aid
- Catastrophic Event Management
Looking after your own "well being" is a vital component for long term outdoor living and this includes personal hygene, care of wounds, core of clothing and attending to illness as it happens. Mobility using canoes and paddle making is considered for fishing and outward bound travel from camp.
Course starts 09.00 Saturday.
